What’s included
Itinerary
Your exploration of three incredible cities begins as you meet the Tour Manager at London Heathrow, ready to fly to Prague. You can also opt to fly from your regional airport and meet the Tour Manager in Czechia.
On arrival in the Czech capital, we check in to our 4-Star hotel located in the 'diplomatic district' near Prague castle. This well-appointed hotel has three restaurants, a café, a flower shop and a wellness centre. There is time to unwind or head out to gain your first glimpse of Prague's charms on your own. With a tram and metro stop near our hotel, you may like to purchase a Prague Visitor Pass which gives you unlimited travel on public transport and allows you entry into most of the city's attractions. Prague's Old Town is a beautiful place to stroll around with fairytale medieval buildings, quirky statues and an incredible range of museums.
This evening, we gather back at the hotel for our first dinner together.

We managed to see all the main historic sites. The location of the hotels was good for sightseeing though the accommodation and food was variable.

Berlin, Prague and Budapest hotels were good but Vienna was not. The local guides were good, Steff and Barbara were brilliant. Transfers need improving

The travel arrangements all worked very efficiently and the Tour Manager, Philip, was excellent, he couldn't have done more for the group. All hotels, with the exception of the one in Vienna, were up to standard. Most of the local tour guides were excellent, but the guide in Vienna wasn't quite up to the job. There was a good mixture of organised time and free time to explore each city. I would suggest that you don't take a large suitcase as there's a lot of getting on and off trains and coaches, this was a challenge for some of the group members. I would definitely recommend this trip as we got to see so much of each city in a relatively short amount of time. Rail Discoveries looked after us every step of the way, and we're looking forward to booking a similar holiday with them next year, it was, all in all, good value for money.

Overall I really enjoyed the holiday however it would have been so much better if we had 3 nights in Budapest as time there was extremely short with a late afternoon arrival, followed by a morning tour thereby allowing only part of the afternoon free to e plots on our own.
